The Department of Zoology, established in 1966, offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Zoology. The B.Sc. program has been a mainstay since the department's inception. In 2014, the M.Sc. program was introduced, and in 2016, the department adopted a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with a semester-wise structure. Aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the department launched the B.Sc. (Honours) program in 2023 and implemented a comprehensive framework for holistic student development as outlined by the NEP.
