 To build foundation for excellence and offshoot development of the Institution as a premier Institution, by igniting and nurturing enthusiasm, interests and passion, in the study of chemistry, in basic sciences, as a part of curricula

MISSION

 To awaken the young minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical chemistry, through dedication to teaching, commitment to students and innovative instructional methods.

 To support the developmental activities of the College and make the Department vibrant.

 To organize critical contributions in areas of emphasis such as faculty, modern labs, department library and demonstrate a high level of competence in the study of Chemistry.

 To introduce pioneering programs in the Department that will embrace heritage and values to the Institution.

ICT Facility: one desktop withinternet connection, 1 printer and 1 LCD Projector.

Departmental librarycontains 200 books

Department of Chemistry has 2 Spacious laboratories

Inorganic & organic Chemistry Laboratory (Lab-I)
Physical Chemistry laboratory (Lab-2)

1) Inorganic & organic Chemistry Laboratory

This lab is equipped 10 working benches and air exhausters to send out harmful gases.

This Lab has the following Instruments

 Chemical hood
 Electric Hot water bath
 Bunsen burners connected with LPG Gas
 Physical centrifuge and Electric centrifuge
 General Glassware such as test tubes etc

2) Physical Chemistry laboratory

This lab has 10 working benches suitable for physical chemistry practicals.

This Lab has the following Instruments

 Colorimeter
 Conductometer
 Potentiometer
 Analytical Balances
 Digital balance
 Hot air Oven
 Electric Mantle
 Refrigerator
 Electric hotplate
 Electric Stirrer with hot plate
 General Glassware such as Burette, pipets etc.
